The City of Morenci Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin weekly curbside brush pick-up on Monday, April 6. Pick-up will occur every Monday throughout the season.
To ensure safety and efficiency with brush pick-up, the City of Morenci asks residents to follow these guidelines:
No bundling of brush.
Brush should be placed only at the curb or boulevard of the street. Do not place brush in the road.
Brush should be free of foreign objects. If such items are found in brush piles, the brush will be left, with the homeowner responsible for disposal.
Brush shall be no more than 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length. Brush larger than this will not be picked up and will be left to the responsibility of the homeowner.
Brush should be piled at least 20 feet away from a fire hydrant.
Residents are welcome to discard their brush behind the DPW building at 597 W. Chestnut Street for immediate disposal.
Please note: Curbside leaf collection concluded in December 2025. Yard materials, including grass clippings, leaves, and general yard waste, may now be deposited at the City of Morenci composting site, located at the DPW facility at 597 W. Chestnut Street.
